The leak says we won’t have another new Spider-Man actor anytime soon

Must read

The Spider-Man: No Way Home the release is approaching, marking the end of the first Spiderman trilogy in the MCU. Tom Holland will share the screen with Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, but there’s no denying he’s the most successful Spider-Man so far. The Spiderman Movies are much more exciting now that Peter Parker interacts with the Avengers, something that wasn’t possible in Sony’s standalone. Spiderman film with Maguire and Garfield.

There is no way to go home it’s not just the end of the first Spiderman MCU trilogy. The film also scores the end of the Dutch contract playing Peter Parker. This is enough to worry many fans when it comes to Spider-Man’s existence in the MCU. But a new report claims that not only will Holland be directing the next trilogy, but that Sony and Marvel will continue to work side by side.

Spider-Man’s identity crisis

Sony owns the rights to Spiderman it means the studio has to make a new film every few years. This explains why Sony revised the role after Maguire’s plans Spider-Man 4 fallen off. Andrew Garfield stepped in to direct a new franchise. But Sony closed that project after the second Incredible Spider-Man installment. At that point, Sony had bigger plans in mind: it partnered with Marvel to bring Spider-Man to the MCU. And he redid the role again.

Tom Holland easily delivered the most exciting Spider-Man so far. Having the superhero in the MCU made the franchise more exciting than anything Sony has ever done alone.

It’s safe to assume that Sony and Marvel won’t want to part ways anytime soon when it comes to Spiderman movie. Additionally, we expect the superhero to appear in other Avengers crossovers in the future. After all, Kevin Feige has just confirmed that Spider-Man will remain in the MCU. But this is not enough to confirm that the Netherlands will continue to play it.

Spider-verse is getting bigger

Holland already mentioned in the interviews that There is no way to go home it looks like the end of a franchise. And he noted that he has no idea what will happen next when it comes to playing Spider-Man. The last observation of the actor’s genre has arrived through Empire magazines exclusive There is no way to go home coverage:

‘Another day of work on There is no way to go home, which will be a bittersweet day, ‘he says. Bitter-sweet? How are you sure this can’t be your last day as Peter Parker? ‘I honestly don’t know. It’s the first time since I’ve been cast as Spider-Man that I don’t have a contract. And it’s … it’s really hard for me to talk about it because there are so many things I’d like to talk about that would help me embellish what I’m trying to explain. But I can’t, because it will only ruin the movie. ‘

There is no way to go home It may be the first live-action Spider-verse movie, but it may not be the last. And Sony may want to release stories with other Spider-Man-o-Woman variants soon. One of these is Miles Morales, whose arrival is highly anticipated. It is unclear if Sony wants to do more Spiderman films outside the MCU. But Sony has its own SSU, where it can have other Spider-Man variants.

Tom Holland’s new contract

According to Small screen, the studios and the Netherlands are already negotiating a new contract. Things seem complicated, but not because Holland doesn’t want to play Peter Parker. It’s that he wants other roles besides the friendly neighborhood superhero.

“The problem is that Tom loves playing the character, but he doesn’t want to end up being typecast either,” a source said Small screen. “He wants to do other projects besides Spider-Man and the MCU. This is one of the reasons he ended up getting the Unexplored concert. “

The source went on to say that Holland was not necessarily the “director and Naughty Dog’s choice for the role”. But Unexplored it is also a Sony film.

Sony and Marvel have different things Spiderman plans

Aside from Holland’s wishes, it seems Sony and Marvel have different plans for the superhero. While they’re not likely to split up again, they have different approaches to the character.

“Sony wants to put Tom Holland’s Spider-Man in every single one” Spider-Verso properties they can, “the source said.” They want to milk, but Marvel Studios are much more cautious.

The source said Marvel wants “Tom Holland in the MCU. Basically they want him to be a young Tony Stark and lead a bunch of younger heroes.”

If true, this tidbit is huge. It is not even surprising. Marvel is already preparing the Young Avengers, and Peter Parker would definitely fit that group. Well, once the Avengers recruit Peter Parker again. Why again? Because they won’t know who he is nach There is no way to go home.

The source indicated that Holland will continue to play Spider-Man in the MCU, “they just have to work out all the logistics before anyone puts it down to paper.” Importantly, “money is not an object for Marvel and Sony, so it is NOT a question of money”.

That said, Spider-Man: No Way Home debut on December 17th. But we have no idea when Sony and Marvel will announce the new Dutch deal.
