Matthew McConaughey is convinced that an alligator will eat him.
The ‘Dallas Buyers Club’ actor has dreamed of his disappearance and has “the feeling” that he will lose his life “as part of the food chain”, but insisted that he would rather die as part of the “natural order”. rather than a random accident or a targeted assault.
Speaking on the New York Times ‘Sway’ podcast, he said: “I have a feeling that I am sinking as part of the food chain.”
Host Kara Swisher said, “What do you mean? Does a bear eat you?
He replied, “It was – the dream was alligators.”
But Matthew admitted that he had also had a dream in which a bear pulled him out, adding, “I’d rather fall like that than get shot in a vehicle. One where it’s part of the natural order. There’s some grace about that.
“It can be ugly and painful and bloody, but at least it’s part of the natural order. And for that, I’ll buy it. And after I leave, I hope I can say I participated.”
The 51-year-old star, who has three children with his wife Camila Alves, recently revealed that he likes to travel to gain perspective on his life and reflect on his decisions.
He said, “What the ride does is bounce and suddenly you can look at it and read the legato. You get to see the great machinations of what the movements were like.” Wait a minute, where? Am I in my life? ‘
“I leave what I know to find what you might need to know. You are changing the channel. Open the aperture to a different light. In fact, you get the target and look back at what you did in a way that you cannot see when you are subjectively in it hammering the way every day so you get a second perspective.
“Sometimes you say, ‘I did exactly what I wanted to do.’ Most of the time I say, ‘Hey, well, what I wanted to do and what I was trying to do is actually not exactly what I did, but I hope it’s close enough.
