Barcelona face a year of playing in another stadium when the club starts its modernization of the iconic Camp Nou the next summer.
Joan Laporta, president of Barça, said that the strongest candidate for temporary housing is the Johan Cruyff Stadium which is part of the club’s training complex on the outskirts of Barcelona.
The stadium, which currently hosts women’s team matches, has only seats 6,000 viewers but Laporta plans increase capacity to 50,000 if the men’s team plays there.
Although the work at the Camp Nou is expected to last up to four years, the team you only need to look for another home for a maximum of 12 months.
