I am a fashion challenged person. my parents trained me to put on my pants before leaving the house, but that’s more or less where my tailor shop education stopped. For most of my adult life I have wallowed in fashion confusion, unable to follow the rules that govern when and where I am allowed to dress a certain way.
A lot of that confusion, I now realize what was said because the “rules” were arbitrary and rigid. Plus, much cooler people than me it seemed able to break the rules with impunity, using things that were supposed to be “wrong,” and not only get away with it, but looking spectacular in the process.
Turns out the joke is on all of us, because most fash rules that were once ironcladion they were abandoned by cool and trendy a long time ago; those of us who are less cool and littlein fashion are getting the memo. There are a bunch of old school fashion rules here that you don’t need to follow anymore, mate. kids.
